Hi. I need some adevice with CV21 software. Today, i try to send some files from PC to cash register. During the trasnfer, it pop up E 1008. I look up the manual, it shows Impossible to transfer ... Anything im doing wrong? Thank you. |

I haven't had that error before. If it happened during transfer, it sounds like there was an interruption such as an intermittent cable fault. Does it stop every time at that point? How far through the file is it? |

Sorry, its me SmallW.. Something wrong with my password, i can not log in so i create another account. Sorry about it.. I had play with CV21 this morning and the problems are still exist. E 1008 = impossible to convert data. I went through the items that i key into the computer and nothing were wrong with it except 1 item. I had key in something xxxxxxx in the quantity coloum but i correct soon after i found out the issue. I delete the item on CV21 but the transfer was not successed. By the way, if i set the date of transfer items record ( before 07/10/12 ) then the files were transfer into cash register without any problem. I assume there were something wrong that i key the items on 07/10/12 but i have no idea what is wrong. I dont really want to install CV21 software again.. this is a very terrible software which is same as casio 4000F... XD |

Now you are saying it is a data conversion problem, not a data transfer problem. It sounds like you have an error in the file. Which file does it fail on? Try sending only that file. |

i go through the items that i key in and i found there is a error i made so i correct it tyen sent to cash register again but fail. i dele the file and transfer again but still shows Impossible to converter file. do you think im better to delete the items that i made on the date and sent to cash register again? i dont feel want to install cv21 again. At the moment everything workable except the date need to set before 7th of october. i believe something was wrong but not sure which one. XD |

I really need to know which file it fails on so I can try to work out what you have done wrong. Which one are you sending? Please supply the file number or name. |

Sorry, i dont really which files make the error. that day, i try to adding few new barcode for items and change the item price. Then i sent files to cash register, the message just appear during the file transfer. I can delete all the files but not sure if it works. I try to do it tomorrow and see how it goes. Thank you. |

In that case it sounds like the scanning PLU file. Try just sending the scanning PLU file. If it fails, look for an overflow in one of the barcodes. You may have an illegal character in one of the codes or it may be a special barcode that the software can't convert |

Thank you for advice. I will try check items again and see if there might be errors. However, i send the file again this morning. When it comes to File077--> waiting time ( 7 seconds ) --> appear E1008 on screen. It must mean File077 is something wrong but im dont know what it is. Maybe you need file007 to indicate the problem is. Later, I will delete all the barcodes i had done on that day and re-do again and see how it goes. |

Now we are getting somewhere. File 77 is the one touch NLU file. Check that you have not made a mistake while programming NLUs |
